Hi, I’m Kim Power. If I’m inviting you to read my posts, then I expect you are a bit curious about me too. As I now qualify to be called “elderly”, I have managed to harvest a bit of experience here and there. I have been married to PGP for 46 years. We have 5 children and 5 sons and daughters in law, 10 grandchildren, 4 fish and 2 cats. My first career was in Psychology, and in my late thirties I began studying Theology. This lead to post graduate studies in Theology and Religious Studies and I graduated with a PhD in 1998. I have also been a hospital chaplain, a Fulbright Senior Fellow, Civil Marriage Celebrant and a university lecturer and researcher. I was a co-founder of Australian Catholic University’s Golding Centre for the Study of Women’s History, Theology and Spirituality. But in the blog I am writing much less as an academic (though that might creep in from time to time) and far more as one interested in what gives life meaning and I’m desperately hoping that you will find this has something to offer and is something you’ll enjoy contributing too alsol
All set to fly to the Juneau Ice Fields
Hi Kim, I’ve enjoyed reading your notes and am so glad to hear that you’ve been able to get your hooly dooly PC organised. I’m about to replace/upgrade all my old system and it’s scarey stuff to address best value for money etc.
in the confusing field of IT offerings now that we are ‘elderly’!! Keep your worthy thoughts a-coming. Love, Edith
Thanks Edith. At least I know there is one friendly reader out there. Buying a new PC is a worry. I just discovered neither of my cameras will work with my new PC operating system. I have emailed Sony asking what they are doing about this as cameras too good to just dispose of. I am disgusted. Didn’t even think of that when I purchased. Have had a few hiccups, but Raymond is good. Might be worth contacting him at Digital Arts, Bridge Rd Richmond for a quote. He builds PCs from components and we know three of his satisfied customers. 9429 9677.
