Currently, my main focus is a publishing project with three colleagues. It is called Eucharist: Embodied and Embedded in the Land: Interdisciplinary Perspectives. It will be published by Equinox Press in 2011. My paper is on childbirth as a biblical metaphor for Eucharist. So far, so conventional and orthodox. However, I am exploring the topic through the Christa, the female crucifix, which has begun appearing in fine art over the last 50 years. My working title is “Embodying the Eucharist.” The manuscript is now with the publisher and soon we have all the proofs to read.
Also working on a little book of prayers and reflections/meditations. Tentatively called Shards from a Broken Vessel, because I wrote a lot of it when I was ill. Still trying to find a publisher for that one.
And, HWMBO and I founded a charity which has grown a little bigger than we expected. That keeps me pretty busy.
